The Break-Up Mix

Everyone's got one, so here is my contribution to the angst. Of course, about 90% of most songs these days are about breakups and heart break, etc etc, so it was hard to narrow it down to just these 18 tracks.

1. "Up Against the Wall" Peter, Bjorn and John
2. "The Love I'm Searching For" The Rentals (covered here by The Yeah Yeah Yeahs)
3. "If You Don't, Don't" Jimmy Eat World
4. "No One's Gonna Love You" Band of Horses
5. "Does This Mean You're Moving On?" The Airborne Toxic Event
6. "Baby It's You" The Beatles
7. "You Keep Me Hangin' On" Diana Ross and the Supremes
8. "Shut Up and Let Me Go" The Ting Tings
9. "I'm Not Over" Carolina Liar
10. "Call It Off" Tegan and Sara
11. "I Don't Want to Get Over You" The Magnetic Fields
12. "This Month, Day 10" Cansei De Ser Sexy"
13. "You Think You're a Man" The Vaselines
14. "Breakin' Up" Rilo Kiley
15. "I'm a Lady" Santogold
16. "Fidelity" Regina Spektor
17. "Do You Love Me Still?" The Kooks
18. "Lately" The Helio Sequence

and a shout out to the classics:
- "Song for the Dumped" Ben Folds

"The Best Deceptions"--Dashboard Confessional
"Goodbye to You"--Michelle Branch
"Up Against The Wall"--Boys Like Girls
...and about a million others...I haven't made a break-up mix in quite awhile though, but Lord knows how many I've made in the past...that's partially why country music is so good, you can listen to country singers who sing in a voice that is even more sad than you feel. =P
