NPR Features Forthcoming Menomena Release Mines on Exclusive First Listen

Menomena, the acclaimed Portland, OR art-rock trio, will release their fourth full-length record, Mines, tomorrow on Barsuk Records (and July 30th in Germany, and August 2nd in the UK and the rest of Europe, all on City Slang). The record is now streaming in its entirety as part of National Public Radio’s Exclusive First Listen series.

Mines, the follow-up to the acclaimed Friend and Foe (which Pitchfork awarded the vaunted “Best New Music” title and scored an 8.5), is already being lauded as a deeply captivating and unconventional album. Alternative Press called Mines “meticulously crafted” and gave the record four stars, and Paste Magazine was moved to note that “on Mines full-blown insanity finally breaks free of the straightjacket.”
