01.29.15 | Greensky Bluegrass | Brooklyn Bowl

On a chilly Thursday night between the bar and the bowling lanes, bluegrass came to Brooklyn by way of Kalamazoo, Michigan for the closing night of Greensky Bluegrass' two-night stand at Brooklyn Bowl in Williamsburg.

The five piece band brought their Americana bluegrass to the hipster haven, bringing the crowd to toe-tapping fury through rousing performances of songs from their latest album, If Sorrows Swim as well as older favorites like "Just to Lie" and "What's Left of the Night".

Highlights from the evening were when they brought a few friends to share the stage: Eric Krasno of Soulive/Lettuce and Andy Falco of the Infamous Stringdusters. They finished off the evening with a raging rendition of The Allman Brothers Band's "Midnight Rider".
